Temple Beth Shalom's Mission

The Temple’s mission is to provide an example of the beauty of Judaism to our community and be a source of comfort and faith to our membership. With our traditional exercise of Jewish custom and law we comfort those that seek a spiritual dawn and a return to the ritual practices of our lineage. It is our goal to never turn away a person in need of spiritual guidance through prayer regardless of their means.

Temple Beth Shalom's Values

Temple Beth Shalom operates under the intents and guidance of its founding members. It was their vision that the Holbrook Jewish Community Center, which came to be known as Temple Beth Shalom, be a beacon of light for learning and prayer serving a Jewish community throughout Massachusetts’ South Shore. We work to provide the foundational principles of Judaism: Torah (Study), Avodah (Religious Service), and G'milut Hasadim (Acts of Kindness, Generosity and Helpfulness). We promise to comfort the sick and grieving, teach the young, and provide spiritual and religious guidance to all that cross our threshold.

Temple Beth Shalom Values

Temple Beth Shalom operates under the intents and guidance of its founding members. It was their vision that the Holbrook Jewish Community Center, which came to be known as Temple Beth Shalom, be a beacon of light for learning and prayer serving a religiously diverse and interfaith membership throughout the Massachusetts south shore.

We provide a comprehensive program of Jewish education for all children who attend our religious school. The program is based upon the foundational principles of Judaism: Torah (Study), Avodah (Religious Service), and G'milut Hasadim (Acts of Kindness, Generosity and Helpfulness).

Students learn the fundamentals of Hebrew, culminating in Bar or Bat Mitzvah. The children study the customs, traditions, values, holidays, and history that are their heritage.

Temple Beth Shalom promises to comfort the sick and grieving, teach the young, and provide spiritual and religious guidance to all that cross our threshold.
